Yes. Salute Veterans Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit (EIN: 84-2016237). Cryptocurrency donations are treated as property donations by the IRS. You can generally deduct the fair market value of the crypto on the date of donation. Consult your tax advisor for your specific situation.

No — that's one of the biggest advantages of donating crypto directly. When you donate appreciated cryptocurrency to a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, you avoid the capital gains tax you'd owe if you sold it first. You also get to deduct the full fair market value. Yes. A tax receipt is issued immediately upon donation through Every.org. You'll receive documentation of the donation amount, the fair market value at the time of donation, and Salute Veterans Inc.'s 501(c)(3) status — everything you need for your tax records.

Every.org charges no platform fees on crypto donations — one of the reasons we chose them as our partner. Standard blockchain network fees (gas fees) may apply depending on which cryptocurrency you donate, but Every.org itself takes nothing.

Every.org allows anonymous donations. However, if you want a tax receipt for your records, you'll need to provide your name and email so the receipt can be issued to you. Anonymous donations are still fully received by Salute Veterans Inc. — you simply won't have documentation for tax purposes.

There is no minimum donation amount. Whether you're donating a fraction of a Bitcoin or a larger holding, every contribution is welcome and goes directly to supporting veterans.
